Will a digi box thingy make?

Hi tekno wizards, dumbo here ! local tv transmitter appears to have shut down ann a log or is that Ann on a log? , any way, got a small LCD TV works/ed but now doesn't so qwestion is ! is there a digi box thingy that can be bought / begged, to get me a signal that will make this TV work again, considering there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. Thanks hope I don't have to bin it!
