Need advice on what to do in this situation?

Let it out. You don't have anything to lose (other than maybe a day's pride) but you have stuff to gain. And you'll feel better for not bottling it up and letting it fester inside you. Believe it or not, holding in strong emotion is very unhealthy, both for your mind/psyche and physical well-being. Everything we feel has an impact on our overall mental and physical health, so you have to think of it like purging an infection - let it out and feel better!
